Olánduō is a home designed to hold you. Not with grand statements or perfect symmetry, but through a rhythm of quiet functionality, sculptural form, and thoughtful intention. At KEMSI, we believe true luxury is about how a space makes you feel - calm, sane, and deeply at ease. With Olánduō, our aim was to create a sanctuary that reflects and supports its owners on every level.
This project was a collaborative journey - our client was involved at every step, from visiting glassblowing studios to selecting gallery pieces that spoke to their identity. Together, we explored materiality and meaning, allowing the home to unfold organically from their story.
From asymmetrical custom joinery and sculptural furniture pieces to soft lighting and raw, tactile finishes, every detail was chosen to enhance the feeling of living well. The interiors draw inspiration from a blend of cultural influences - Australian openness, European craft, and ancestral Filipino memories of bamboo weaving - resulting in a home that feels both grounded and expansive.
Sustainability played a quiet yet crucial role. We worked consciously with durable, natural materials that will age gracefully - timbers, handcrafted objects, and finishes chosen not only for their aesthetic but for their longevity and soul.In Olánduō, beauty lives in the perfectly imperfect. It’s a space designed to be lived in, not just looked at.
